STRUCTURE AND SUPPORT

Tell us what has been happening and what kind of support you’re looking for. Whether you’re enquiring for yourself or a family member, the first conversation helps us understand your circumstances.
Our team will discuss your treatment history, current needs and expectations. We’ll explain whether the Playas programme may be suitable and whether you need an assessment or other care before admission.
Review the programme rules, proposed duration, costs and family contact arrangements before making a decision. You should understand what your stay involves and have time to ask questions.
Discuss your next steps before leaving the center. This includes considering the support, routines and further care you may need as you return to everyday life.

QUESTIONS BEFORE ADMISSION
The term describes a residential programme with a controlled daily structure and restrictions that differ from an open residential setting. Before admission, our team will explain the specific rules at Playas, including leaving the premises, phone use, visits and the process for requesting discharge. Ask about anything you need clarified before agreeing to a stay.
The proposed length of stay will be discussed during the admissions process. Ask the team to explain the recommended duration, how progress is reviewed and what happens if your circumstances change. Your quote should cover the anticipated stay and any costs associated with extending it.
Family contact and visits follow the center’s programme arrangements. Admissions will explain when and how contact takes place, how visits are organised and who family members can speak with if they have questions during a resident’s stay.
Tell admissions about any current substance use, withdrawal concerns and medical needs before arranging arrival. The team will assess whether Playas is an appropriate starting point or whether detox or another level of care needs to be arranged first. Admission to the lockdown programme should not be treated as a substitute for a detox assessment.
